This cool project involved the construction of a designer granny flat with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living area, bathroom and laundry as well as a pool cabana that complemented the existing house design.

We were engaged early with conversations with the architect and were able to adjust the design and offer opinions on where to make amendments and changes to best suit the end result. What was created is now a forever-Summer space to enjoy for years to come.

The design for this brief was simple – our clients Marcus and Millie worked from home so they needed a separate breakout space for work that could also be used as accommodation for visiting family and friends.

The building was finished in Linea weatherboards with some feature primed pine as an entry. We recycled some of the old brickwork (which was originally used as pavers) to wrap around to the beautiful pool area completed by Baha pools.

The cabana area off the back of the pool was built out of feature primed pine posts and beautiful australian hardwood.

Marcus is a landscaper and had a nice backyard already allowing him to tie the front house to the pool, granny flat and cabana area well.
